Today I got a phone call from a little birdie making sure that I've been ok. Apparently some of you have been inquiring as to my where-abouts. Well, we were on vacation for 2 weeks, was home for a week, and then was away for a weekend. All the while, I've been under the weather and stuck on the couch and have not really been coherant enough to get online. I've got medicine to keep me from getting sick, but it totally knocks me out and doesn't allow for me to go to work, so I haven't been taking it much at all. Hopefully, this will pass soon. Thanks for wondering about me....I'm still alive. smile

I am so sorry your're going through this. I was diagnosed in May, 2001, one year to the day my mother died from BC. Scared me to death. One thought for you: DON'T GIVE UP!!! I have found on my worst days, I go into the garden and just sit, listen and heal. It works wonders. My prayers and best wishes are with you.

May I ask what is going on? This post went from being under the weather and us waiting for a surprise in days to a scary diagnosis post from Maygirl. Did I miss something in between, hoping nothing is seriously wrong Jenn, please post soon. I am totally confused.

I second that. Jenn?? What's up girl?

Can I be on the quilt. 4 year survivor, still on Tamoxifen.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: A birdie told me - October 21st, 2005 at 01:40 AM
ok, maygirl, pm me or hisgal with your "proper" name and we will get you on the quilt. and prayers for your continued recovery.

for the rest of you, hisgal's news isn't a cancer diagnosis, and Lord willing, she will be fine, but i can't say more than that, 'cause i promised. BUT if she doesn't post in 8? days, i'll call her and get permission to post myself. i hate waiting for things laugh laugh

Posted By: hisgal2 Re: A birdie told me - October 21st, 2005 at 04:48 AM
Well, I think I will extinguish fires right now. Most of you have probably guessed it already anyways. I'm pregnant....and nearly 11 weeks as you can see with the ticker. I will change the ticker to a better one eventually.

I didn't want to say anything until I was through the first 12 weeks because of what happend last time. I've had horrible morning sickness for the past 5 weeks. Today is the 2nd day in a row that I havent gotten sick, so I think that part of it is going away. I go for my next OB appointment this coming Wednesday and hopfully will be able to hear the heartbeat through the doppler. A few weeks ago, we went in for an ultrasound and got to hear the heartbeat which was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.

To answer questions that always come up...
No, we won't find out what it is.
Yes, we have names picked out, but no, we aren't telling anyone.
May 18, 2006.
My guess is boy.
Yes, I'm showing already.
No, I haven't gained any weight...I actually lost 12 pounds because of how sick I was.

I hate that you have had such bad morning sickness...and for so LONG! That must be awful.

Hi Jenn!
I haven't been here in SOOOO long, and when I first saw your post with your "new" counter, my first thought was to say "YAAAAYYYYY! Congratulations to you, Sweetie!"
Then I saw the diagnosis post, and got scared for you. All I can think to say now is I hope you're well, and that the baby-to-be is fine, and you are definitely in my prayers. Be well.
Posted By: geegeeburr Re: A birdie told me - October 24th, 2005 at 11:08 AM
Boy, I feel stupid now. I didn't see page two until right now. (DUH!)

HOORAY for you Jenn! I'm so happy for you! (Not about the horrible morning sickness part, of course, that part is bad. Just the pregnant part.)
Can't believe you already have names picked out! We're over seven months now, and we haven't got a name still. And we know what sex it is. My husband is crazy with guilt over not picking a name yet, because with our son, we had it picked at like 12 weeks or so, so he feels like we're neglecting this baby. smile
Posted By: tamara Re: A birdie told me - October 24th, 2005 at 06:05 PM
Congratulations Hisgal and geegeeburr also. I think I'm last to find out everything. I wish you both happy and healthy babies. I was so excited when I read your post Hisgal you'd swear that it was my own.

Yippee, Yippee I'm so happy for you and your husband.

Welp, had a bit of a scare this week. I woke up on Sunday and found blood which totally freaked me out. It was bright red, but turned brown by the end of the day. So, my already scheduled appointment for Wednesday got rescheduled for today. The doctor came in with the doppler and couldn't find a heartbeat, SO, off to the ultrasound we went. She found the heartbeat immediately. AND we found out why the doctor couldn't find it with the doppler. The baby was moving all over the place. It was soo cool to see! So, now I'm feeling sore and tired, but MUCH better. Thursday starts my 12th week, so, I'm pretty much thinking that we've made it through the first 3 months....yay! Ok, that's it for now. I need to sleep horribly.....and its only 8:00. laugh
Posted By: afgreyparrot Re: A birdie told me - October 26th, 2005 at 07:06 AM
Oh, Jenn...that WOULD be scarey!
Glad everything is O.K.

Sleep! laugh
That's what I did the entire first 6 months I was pregnant with Rachel.
I sometimes wouldn't get up til 4 in the afternoon!
...just up to go to the bathroom then right back to bed...and sleep like a log.

I figure you better sleep now while you can! thumbup

Thank God the baby's okay. Man, I feel ya' on that sleep thing. If I could manage it, I'd be sleeping 14 hours a day. Pregnancy is the only time in my life that I can actually fall asleep before midnight.
It IS cool when you see them moving all over the place, isn't it? smile

continued prayers jenn kissies
Posted By: melcon6 Re: A birdie told me - October 26th, 2005 at 04:04 PM
Jenn, take care of yourself, rest as much as you can!
Posted By: hisgal2 Re: A birdie told me - October 27th, 2005 at 05:50 AM
I wish I could stay in bed until the afternoon, but I have to work. I'm not aloud to lift anything, so that helps. I basically just sit and relax while I tell me staff what to do...so its not that bad. And then there's the 2 1/2 hours of nap time that the kids get in the afternoon, so that makes the day pretty easy. smile

Posted By: hisgal2 Re: A birdie told me - October 27th, 2005 at 08:00 AM
Well, I'M not the one who gets the nap!! laugh Although, that would be absolutely great!!! Haha. I do go to bed between 9:00 and 9:30 tho. I can barely make it past that, so I don't try. smile I simply go up to bed, put Delilah on, and fall asleep listening to her.
