When is the besst time to prune honeysuckle? Mine is over grown and I need to cut it back as far as I can so it can grow back out.

The fact sheets says you can prune for shape after it is done blooming. I know my landlord keeps trying to cut the one in the weed patch down but it comes back every year from a stump. It of course doesn't have a pretty shape at all. The one in the weed patch is a shrub type not the vine which is yours?
