There's 3 lines below the image in Photobucket.
Copy the TOP line and paste it in your image thingy (after you backspace that "http" thing out that pops up already in the image thingy box.

Yeah Weezie! thumbup grinnnn

Great pictures of great plants!!!

Your greenhouse looks great too. I'm gonna have to work harder at saving up $ to get one already! What's your secret to growing the sunflowers? I've tried a few times, but either the woodchuck, squirrels, rabbits or deer do them in each time - it's sooooooo frustrating... :p

are those confederate violets? I have those in my yard and garden too. They multiply like mad and will take over an area. I don't mind them in some areas but in my shady part they will get bigger than the hosta. They are so pretty and dainty though. Speaking of confederate, I can't find any confederate jasmine (the kind that smells good). Does anyone know of any ordering sites?

I plant them in the dirt!! wink laugh laugh laugh
Just kidding...
The big one you see, isn't even the biggest one I ever grew, I had to put the head on a big stick, cause it kept falling over...
The secret I guess is a raised bed... and my deer do try to eat them, if fact, they gave that rust colored one quite the buzz cut....
but I out smarted sca when he gets near it...

I had to put tomato cages around some of my lupins too...and I am now leaving sections of the lawn with some extra dandlelion heads... he seems to like them, and when I mowed, there'd be nothing for him to munch, so now there's one or two or 20 dozen left for him, and so far, he's leaving the plants alone.. <img border="0" alt="[clappy]" title="" src="graemlins/clappy.gif" />

The greenhouse looks great. How did it hold up in your snowy, icy winter? How can they sell it so inexpensively, when others go for thousands I wonder? Did you get a heater for it?
#1. Held up great..No mishaps, no snow build up.
#2. It's an illuminum frame... we did build a floor for it out of a bunch of 1 by 6's and it's really sturdy.. He put holes in the 2 bottom wood boards and 4 guys can carry it like they carried the Pharos... kinda neat and didn't have to get a builders permit cause it's able to be carried away.
#4. No heater, but what I did was put the 5 plastic zippered greenhouse's inside the big greenhouse and gives me a double bang for my $$.

I am eyeballin' a little Single Burner Anti-Frost Heater from Harris Seeds .
I think I'd have to get two or three???
Still thinkin' on it... The one pictured burns 2 weeks or 14 days on a 1/2 gallon of kerosene..
the bigger unit " Blue Flame Double Burner Greenhouse Heater "takes a gallon and only burns 3 days and is $178.00....... I can get 3 of the little one's, still be cheaper, and better fuel effiecency and only use one if need be....

I'm thinkin'...

Pheonix,
I wasn't being sarcastic,
I was being FUNNY!! laugh grinnnn

You know, I just started some seeds...
I do know the one's that flower this season
were established in the fall...

soooooooo, it's hard to say whether you'd get a flower or just the leaves, but hey, it's worth a try...

You can never have enough flowers you know,
this year, next year... any year's great!!!!

Weezie

P/S My Granny had Foxgloves, and I just think of her when ever I see them, in my garden or any one's garden...
I loved taking the flowers that had fallen...
and playing with them, loved the dots inside...

Jamie,
By firing my husband from the lawn maintainence!!!
LOL!!! laugh laugh laugh laugh
I got really tired of yellin' at the poor guy,
and told him he was "FIRED"

**long before The Donald came along too, I might add!!!!

I've lived in the country all of my life,
so I know alot of weeds, if fact if you wanted a garden of flowers, that's what I had to grow...
We grew up with blue clay to grow on and it was hard getting regular plants to grow, so ya just
go with what does..

I reconized them in my yard and just let them keep re~seeding themselves..
My husband just about has a cow with them all but
he'll live!!!
