Shades of Y2K, all over again. I understand that the bill passed by Congress and signed by the President (BioFuels Energy Conservation Bill of 2005) will extend Daylight Savings Time for a month as an energy-saving measure.
Do you think that Congress in its wisdom angell .

In Indiana for years we have not changed clocks like everyone else.

Some people had the bright idea to push the issue and now we have to start changing our clocks!! Why did they mess with a good thing?!

We don't know yet which time we will be on. Hope they never decide and we can continue to not change our clocks!!

What energy does it save? You have to get up still and go to work so instead of getting up at 6:00am and being light now it's dark have to use lights. Late night daylight? so if they change it to November we not only get up in the dark it will still be dark when we get home, and if it isnt most people will stay up later just because of the sun not going down at right time or will congress reset the sun? Looks to me like we will be burning more power not only of a morning but also of an evening. Congress needs their attitude changed and that can only come at the poles. they are all too big for their britches in my opinion.
