I was born and raised in Indiana and moved to Arizona 27 years ago. While in Arizona I grew native plants (cacti and native grasses). I've now returned to Indiana and have to learn about gardening in the Hoosier state all over again. I'll no doubt be asking lots of questions and soaking up all the gardening info I can. My DH made a trip to WalMart this morning and returned with a Daylily and something called Sea Holly (Erngium). Now I'm off to search the forums and find out how to care for them.

Welcome granny,

I'm so happy to have you here. I love succulents for house plants and currently have two different kinds. I tried to grow catus from seed but no luck. Maybe you can give me some tips before I make my next attempt.

I'm a beginner gardener and this is the first year I've started to see some sucess with outdoor plants.

Good luck with your northern plants.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've never grown cactus from seeds. The cacti I grew were outdoor plants.

Hoosier Gardener,
Hi and Welcome to The Garden Helper's Forum!
We're glad you found us!!!

I just saw some cactus seeds for sale at my local
"Tractor Supply" store..no kidding.....
I was going to get them, but I was broke from lunch.
But they looked different to grow..

Anyhow, Welcome Again, and I was going to suggest that you post your plant questions, seperately in the
PLANTS AND FLOWERS section...
There's several more gardener's that will go
thru that section that will be able to help you
alot in there..

Weezie

Thanks Weezie. I'll check that forum. You mentioned one of my favorite stores, Tractor Supply. There are many people who do grow cactus from seeds. I'd say to give it a try. They're actually easy to care for.

Welcome Granny!
I'm a Granny myself, three times (2 in New York; one in Belgium). You'll like it here, it's a good group. thumbup Daylily is an easy plant; not familiar with the other. Good to have you on board.
