Wow, I love both statuaries!!
Does anyone else know that it's supposed to be good luck to have an elephant with it's trunk pointed up, but not down?

Yeah
It also means you welcome guests if it's in the house with trunk pointing toward the door, but unwelcome if it points away from it. Also, hindus can't pray to lord ganesh if the trunk is to the right, only if it's to the left

Sheri and Bill, when y'all get tired of those statues, y'all can just send them to me...
Beautiful and so realistic...

Hmm.. I didn't know all that Mary. I thought I was also told once, to point it toward the door, to keep bad luck/spirits from entering.

My husbands uncle sent me that elephant. I have another elephant too. It's concrete. Johnny wanted to put it in the house but it's too big.
Shoulda known Cool Cat Bill would have a cool cat in the yard.

Thanks. We have that stuff everywhere. It was here when we bought the house. I've tried to get rid of some of it but it won't go away.
