This is a tribute to all my friends here at the Garden Helper! Thanks to you all, last year when I put in my strawberry patch...and had NO idea what I was doing....and came here for HELP...this is the result! AND then this year when the birds kept getting the berries, again...I came here for help and found out about the bird netting. As a result, I have already harvested a bowl FULL of the sweetest berries around! See why I love all of my gardening friends here...you are makin me look REAL good!!!

Cindy, my back yard was covered with wild strawberries....everywhere...They take over really fast if you let them go and the birds love them. I had to get a handle on it because they were getting in the garden beds.

Man, those little wild strawberries are so sweet!

Landscape timbers..they are 8 ft...I think hubby cut one in half for the ends. I kinda remember them being like $3.00 each. We bought a bunch and sectioned off some of the yard and filled it with pea gravel for a play area (sandbox.picnic table..etc..) for Peanut.

And they are stacked (2) to raise the bads. We used them for our garden but didn't stack them...we are going to add another next year because I really like the raised beds. I think I e-mailed you pictures of the garden after the frost crisis...if not let me know and I will post some.

wow those are some goooood looking strawberry plants!! I bought one of those boxed strawberry kits from walmart for about 5 bucks. Has anybody had any luck with them? it came with 3 little strawberry plants and all 3 of them look dead but one of them looks ok because it has some leaves growing on it? I hope I didn't plant them to late...I planted them like on monday :rolleyes:

Please do Amagitec...I would love to see it! I have been picking berries about every other day, I personally am not a strawberry eater..but I love to make strawberry bread or strawberry shortcakes.
