Ribbit! I like frogs, too, and yours are so cute.

Good luck is being wished for your daughter on the music school. I wished I had learned flute instead of clarinet in school. I love the haunting sound.

How neat! I wanted to ply the flute SOOO bad when I was in school. I took lessons...but...hhmmm..I have a real problem with reading. The teacher was always really frustrated because everything I could play was strictly by ear...I just didn't get the hang of it. Same way with the piano...My sister taught herself to play also. She is now the organist at her church and plays a HUGE bog ol pipe organI do wish your daughter luck and will keep my pinkies crossed...please let us know!! thumbup

G-Mom ~ I also took piano and guitar lessons, but have always loved the sound of the flute and was thrilled when my daughter said that was the instrument she wanted to take up for the school band requirement in 4th grade. She's a natural at it, and it warms my heart to hear her play! cool

By the way... who was that "now famous" guitar instructor???
huh? huh? huh??? Duh

Have any pictures of your jammin' frogs? Sounds cute!

Thanks for your good luck wishes everyone - we should hear by June 10th. We're kinda nervous about it - this school is just under Julliard and is highly competitive. It will be a Saturday prep program for next school year, and a great thing for her to do. thumbup

Piano and Bass here and would have loved to learn spanish guitar, but I was totally dependent on the sheet music. I never developed an ear.

My mom has a frog like your middle one. And I have seen toad houses in some catalogs. If you give them a place to hang out, they eat nasty bugs....or that is the theory I think.

Me I just have this little guy for a buddy.....

I think he is a very pale wild willie so I call him wee willie

That will be such a wonderful opportunity for her...will definately be crossing my fingers thumbup

My froggies are 2 years old so they are getting a little weathered...nothing that some touch-up paint won't fix.

The "now famous" guitar teacher is...Johnny VanZant! We went to Robert E. Lee High school together and to earn extra bucks he would give private lessons after school and on the weekends thumbup My girlfriend and I both took lessons from him. To this day I'm not sure if we went for the lessons or just to spend a hour with him laugh There were definate benefits to being in his "group" thumbup

I took clarinet in school and quit immediately following graduation. I don't remember a thing about how to play now except I can still run the scales. Let's just say I wasn't really musically inclined. Though if I had had a VanZant at my school I might have been willing to learn guitar. wink

Tell your daughter we are hoping for the best!

When I was in middle school I was in the Chrous. I almost made it in to the State Chrous. I can still read music, and I can play panio and the drums- if I really want to. I can also wright music and "sight read."
