Seems like when it rains, it pours.
It started out with this...
Drowning
Then, Friday I found out I had a very serious medical problem.
And, yesterday there was another death in my family.

Please pray that they find Lowell's body soon.
It's been 5 days now, and my nephew (his son) needs so badly for this to come to an end. I can't even describe how bad he is grieving.

Cindy,Your nephew must be going through hell, I know it is a terrible thing to say, but the sooner they recover the body the sooner your nephew can really begin to grieve.Then the healing process will start.

Update...

I go to the hospital tomorrow.
I'll miss the funeral of my cousin's husband who died Saturday. I'm sending flowers in the shape of a horseshoe, because at the family reunion we were always the last two teams to compete for the title and trophy.

They still haven't found Lowell's body yet.
I took my brother some money this morning for food, gas, etc. while he's taking off work to stay at the river. He and Lowell were best friends, and he and another friend are not giving up until they find him.

It may take a long time, but we hope not. The day Lowell drowned the river rose several feet due to rain here. It is a popular river for whitewater rafting, and before it goes into Cumberland Lake, there is a huge falls.

So, you can see what the searchers are dealing with.

Lowell was found by some fishermen today a few miles from where he drowned.

I thought it would be a relief when they found him, but I wasn't prepared for the "reality" of it.
For some reason, it didn't seem real until today.

You are right...I kept picturing him finally getting out of the river, but unable to get help...waiting for someone to find him.

The visitation is tomorrow night, and the funeral is Saturday.

Your thoughts and prayers were such a comfort, and I appreciate them so much.

What a nice surprise at the mailbox!

Lowell had a beautiful funeral...it was more like a celebration of his life. My brother gave a very nice eulogy, then played about 10 minutes of a CD of Lowell's music. He was a very gifted musician.

And thank you all so much.....
