wavey junjun heres a good way to make it.
manure Tea is really easy to make. Just shovel any kind of manure into your a burlap sack or old pillow case tie it closed and place it in a large bucket or barrel that is filled with water. Cover and let the bag sit for 4 or 5 days. then remove the bag from the water.then mix its contents into your garden soil.
make sure to dilute the tea remaining inside the bucket or barrel until it is light brown in color before applying it to the soil around your plants. During the growing season. use the tea every two or three weeks. If the soil is dry wet real well with clear water before applying the tea.hope this helps.your friend in gardening.mike57

Hey, Mike, don't you mean 1 dump and a heaping dose of #2? laugh

You can also use finished compost in your burlap sack, pillow case, cheese cloth, etc. to steep your tea.

The vermi tea requires a vermi composting setup that collects the drippings and allows you to drain out that liquid. You can make your own vermi composting setup, but keeping the worms out of the liquid area can be tough. Some of the commercial ones do have the liquid catch area, but they're a little more expensive. Again, you can buy the worm poop (castings) and use that to steep your tea, or take the finished vermi compost and put it in your bag... You know the deal by now.

SuzyQ,

It's funny that you mentioned drinking the stuff. Mike has covered the making of the "tea". Here's the recommended way to use it. Dilute your compost tea to the color of a light ice tea. Then water your plants with it. Just don't confuse it with your ice tea.

I'm very organic, so my house plants get compost tea once a month and no other ferterlizers. That goes for my orchids too.
