A difficult situation - April 12th, 2005 at 04:36 PM
Have you ever had one of those nieghbors?
Recently two men moved in next door and the walls are paper thin. When they first moved in, I asked if they could avoid putting their tv on the wall that we share. I was, of course, told to mind my own business.
They turn it on so loud that it is impossible to hear my tv. So I have moved my tv into the masterbed room and made that my livingroom. there are 3 walls now separating their tv from mine and still I can hear theirs over mine. I complain two days in a row to the landlord cause I just got to the end of my rope.
This morning patiently waiting until after 8 a.m. (since they work) I hung up my new curtain rods (the old one fell down). As soon as I put hammer to nail, one of them began beating on the wall and then the door and hollering for me to keep the noise down. I ignored him, it wasn't what I wanted to do, but it was much nicer than what I wanted to do.
After getting my curtains up and chatting on the forum I gathered up my gardening stuff and headed outside. He evidently had been standing by the door waiting for me and confronted me. I went straight down stairs to the landlord. Who of course blamed it all on the complex instigator.
But I gave him that look and he said he would take care of it. About that time the guy showed up so I went back upstairs and hung up the pictures I bought yesterday. They are by-the-way gorgeous. They are three pictures of a mother tiger and her cub in different poses done on mirrors and I just love them.
Then of course I just had to move the furniture around. Yes a bit of that was spite but I had also been planning on doing it for several months. Today he just gave me the motivation.
I want things to change, but as I write this I am listening to his tv again.
