Back to the garden... School is out for the year. I have become involved with the fire department here. Learning how to do that for the next 8 weeks at about 11 to 15 hours per week. My oldest son is wanting to do that for a living, so we are training together. He finishes school this fall and heads for college. Gunnera is setting in fine. 'maters are coming along good. Will be picking some in about two weeks. Put two steers in the pasture. Went up to see Barley's new house. Going again next weekend. Dry here already, 6 grass fires so far, more to come.

I prefer to call them "Sir Loin" and "T. Bone". I'll try to get some pics of the Gunny tomorrow if it doesn't rain. I passed school so far, but now I switch from teacher to student at the fire station. First test Monday, next class starts Thursday.
