I was reading a post on another board about trumpet vine and I don't know whether or not I have one? I have no picture, but I bought it as a large vine at Lowes and it has orange trumpet shaped flowers - but the vine itself is woody and the folage is feathery and dark green (it is NOT the typical "trumpet" vine I grow from seed that grabs onto everything). In fact, this year it grew to about 10 feet, but I had to wrap it around my water drain pipes and pile it up to get it to "vine" - it doesn't appear to have tendrils that "grab" even though it is a vine - it's a bit spindly too - not alot to speak of this year and it didn't bloom. It said perennial and I am in zone 5/6 - any idea what it is?

Thanks Sybil - I know it's a trumpet vine, it's just that it doesn't have any "grabbers" - isn't that pretty atypical?
