i got a few clippings of my friends plant but she doesn't know what kind of plant it is either. The leaves are green and white on top and purple on the bottom. Any ideas?

Looks like a Variegated wandering jew of some sort....I'm sure someone will come through with the exact name.

you should come up with a bunch of posts here about the same plant....

can give you some extra info on it....

And it'll (*someday*) have beautiful purple flowers at the end of each tip!!!

l have had this lovely species since l first started growing house plants, and this one is the most rewarding.
l still have one growing from the original 20 years ago.
l just take cuttings when it gets to long.
