i got a few clippings of my friends plant but she doesn't know what kind of plant it is either. The leaves are green and white on top and purple on the bottom. Any ideas? [Linked Image]

Looks like a Variegated wandering jew of some sort....I'm sure someone will come through with the exact name.

Hello Ritchie902,
If you do a FORUM SEARCH and type in WANDERING JEW
you should come up with a bunch of posts here about the same plant....

There's a link to one URL, under
"Zebrina Wandering Jew" that G~mom posted,
can give you some extra info on it....
Another one Jiffy posted also has some info too!!!

And it'll (*someday*) have beautiful purple flowers at the end of each tip!!!

Weezie

Tradescantia. Cherish it thumbup
Will grow on for years.
l have had this lovely species since l first started growing house plants, and this one is the most rewarding.
l still have one growing from the original 20 years ago.
l just take cuttings when it gets to long.
