Got another one for all you garden gurus out there...

My aunt has had this plant for awhile. It has only now started to bloom. She is curious to find out what it is. Any ideas? I haven't a clue...

That is AWESOME!

That is one of the coolest plants I've ever seen!

I assure you that it is not fake, Cindy. I had it for a year and a half and couldn't figure out where I wanted to plant it, so I gave it to my aunt so she could put it in the ground. Figures that it would bloom after it got away from me....

I remember my mom and dad having that plant for years. The flowers smell absolutely beautiful! They kept theirs as a hanging plant in a sunny window...didn't flower that often but wow is it gorgeous! If no one knows by morning, I'll give my mom a call, she'll know. It's too late here to call her now.

I second it is a hoya. Beautiful! I have been waiting for 3 years for 1 of mine to bloom. It might be hoya carnosa.

also drips sweet stickiness from the flowers, yum. there is one variety with a flower three inches across on my wish list...

I believe it is a hoya carnosa. Papito identified it in a PM to me so as not to ruin the "guessing game". I have to get a closer look at the flowers next week-end when I am at my aunt's.

I think this gang could identify anything! Thank you all for your input...

When I first saw your plant I thought it was the same as mine but realize it is a bit different. I have a Hoya Bella - it is gorgeous & smells great in the evening. It is a very delicate smell.
Here a picture of mine -

When the flowers fall off you need to leave the stems on the plant. When it blooms again the flowers will bloom at the same spot. I have a huge one and it is yet to bloom, but it is only a couple of years old. Lovely photos!

It's definately a hoya and if you get a cutting be patient. It takes along time for them to root and an even longer time for them to grow after you plant them and they have to be unbelievably root bound before they even think to bloom. However they are definaltely worth the waite as you can see by the pictures.

Patience is not one of my strong points! But I guess that I will have to be huh?
