I have been working on my pond trying to add a waterfall that actually makes water noise. Mine didn't do so great last year. I added a third layer but the more I look at it the more it looks like a big pile of rocks.

Is there a way to make it look a bit better? I am planting Pampas grass towards the back to hide the big pile of dirt and then I am going to step down with different ornamental grasses that get shorter. Would it help if I set containers around around in different places by the rocks to make it look like plants are growing out of them? I have this one stuff that does really well and it will creep almost like a vine. I can't really plant anything because of the pond liner...

Any ideas?

heres a great link to ideas of good waterfalls, the only way you learn is to look at the real thing, its like painting a picture, use your imagination.
Try and lay the stone so that water flows from one stone, down a level to the next, like steps for interest.
You see you dont want the waterfall to stick out like a volcano, try and terrace each level which will blend it into the landscape thumbup
