Hello
My very nice husband bought me two new plants but I have no idea what they are or how to take care of them.

The leaves are narrow and grow upright. They are green but purple on on the edges. The leaves on the sides are longer than the ones on the top and flop over a bit. There are not leaves on the bottom but I can tell that there used to be. It's obviously a plant that's meant to permanently drop it's lower leaves over time. The stalks look wooden. I would post a picture of it but I don't know how to do it.
Please help!!

Sounds a bit like a Madagascar DRagon Tree?
Does it look like this?

Amany, I didn't know what mine was either, & was worried that the lower leaves kept falling off! Found out that they're SUPPOSED to do that, cuz that's how they get taller. (& that's what leaves those bamboo/ring kinda marks on the stalks.) I also found out that you can whack off 1 of those branches & stick it in the pot & it'll root & grow a whole new stalk... (& the one you cut will also regenerate & start making new leaves again!) thumbup
