I just planted some Leopard's Bane yesterday! Specifically Doronicum 'Magnificum". It was in full bloom already as I left it in it's pot overwinter stuck in the ground next to the foundation on the south side of my house.

It tends to go dormant when the heat of summer arrives, so I planted it in with some hostas so they will fill the gap it leaves.

It's called leopardbane because arrows were once dipped in the juice of one species for hunting leopards.

Hmmm...looks like one of specimens I gathered from the field this week in my botany class. I dunno if it is leopard's bane, but my professor will know on monday. I'll get back to you then. smile
