I love tea and I want to grow my own and experiment with making different flavored teas like adding mint from plant and stuff. Has anyone ever grown tea before and have some pointers? Do you know a good place to get seeds or preferably the actual live plant?

The plant you are looking for is Camellia sinensis and a quick google search should locate a source. I've grown this before and its growth requirements are similar to camellia japonicas. Better to start with a plants, seeds can be tricky.

Have you ever made tea out of it?

yes, its essesentially green tea. When the leaves are fermented, and I'm not exactly sure how the process goes, it becomes black tea.
