Hello again this is a mystery shrub my parents have had at their house for ages (it was there when they moved in) It doesn't always bloom every year but has for the past 2 years. Can anyone ID this?

Sure can Id that, been sitting here looking them up right now because my Mom has the same shrub and has for years. It also "came with the house". I just took some suckers from it last year and moved them up here to Maine and it's doing great, just started budding out thumbup I'm so happy because I wanted it for my hummingbirds, they love it, and so don't other birds. It flowers in early spring and it is a flowering quince or Chaenomeles speciosa.
