Hi folks

I need some help with identifying what the following plant is

[Linked Image]

[Linked Image]

It was planted about 3 years ago
It grew to about 4-5 feet tall, but I had to cut it back
The white flower at the top left can be ignored, that is a different plant in a tub behind
We do not bees that big in the Black Country - it is a toy added by my 3 year old!
Soil - soil and clay mix
In direct sunlight for morning and evening only
Watered regurlarly

Any help would be gratefully appreciated - my Mother wants to try growing one the same, but I do not have a clue what it is!

Thanks

Craig

wavey Hi Craig, you are growing a lovely "Rose-of-Sharon", Hibiscus syriacus . thumbup
You should be able to start one for your mother by rooting a cutting
from your shrub, unless she's in a big hurry. grinnnn

Rose of Sharon grows into a small tree - there are a few on our neighbours' lots.

It's the only way we, in Southern Ontario, can grow hibiscus outdoors and not bring it in every year.

I just got started with one myself and have somne seedlings on the go.

Nice to meet you, BCB.
