Today I started the day by planting 8 French Vanilla Double Dwarf Marigolds and 9 Petunias. I have no idea what color the petunias may be. I'm hoping that they will be a mix of colors. Not that the chromatic purples weren't neat last year because they were. I'm hoping these get as large as last years plants. I had one petunia that ended up 3 feet across. My landlord didn't believe me when I said it was one plant until he pulled it up at the end of the season. He was so suprised.

The petunias were really easy. I was wondering if they were the wave variety. But since they stayed on the ground i wasn't sure. Thanks for clarifying that. Boy some people are going to be very suprised when they plant the seeds I sent them lol.

I did them in egg cartons last year. The germination wasn't the greatest. They only need 1/8 of an inch of soil sprinkled over them. But I did get enough to fill both of the 3 foot containers out front. I'm hoping to get as many this year.

Tammy, the Wave Petunias can be grown as a ground cover and often are because they can spread up to 4 feet across in beds. thumbup wink They were a sight to behold and they were the first to be sold. wink They now come in many different varieties and colors; Original Wave, Tidal Wave, Easy Wave, and the Double Wave. The Double Wave Pink is absolutely gorgeous ! clp luv

I hope we get some of the double wave up in the seed exchange. I can't afford to buy seeds but those do sound pretty. Thankyou for the information on the petunias.
