What attracted me to this particular plant was its cylinder spear shaped 'leaves' I only have 2 baby starts but from what I've read it will root from a straight cut edge dipped in root tone and will develop rhizomes off of the cutting and will proceed to grow upward from that, and the original 'spear will then die off and then multiplying begins.. It also will bloom as in the site provided

I have had one for about a year and love mine. It hasn't bloomed yet, but my fingers are still crossed.....Good luck with yours, they're really nice plants

mhuff,, did you start yours with babies or bought already ready to go?? I hope yours bloom soon !!! Post a picture of it when it does Okay??
That looks really cool. Hope they do well for you. Keep us posted with pics and the lil babies start to grow.
I bought mine as a full plant, but have been thinking about trying to propagate some from cuttings. My fiancee's mother has one too, and her cats broke off the middle stalk, so she propagated some, and after a few months, the middle stalk grew back on hers taller than it was before. If mine ever blooms, I'll definately share the pictures.

They are EASY to propagate& I've not used rooting hormone.I just stick a leaf down in soil& when it roots it sends up a new leaf.most times I'll remove an ugly leaf& root it.I've got 3 pots with one like pictured 2 are 12-15 inch pots the other is a 15 gallon& looks kinda ugly right now cause didn't cover it one nite.I've read about them blooming.I think being pot bound was mentioned and being a mature plant.I have another one with cream center with cream/green stripeing.I like it too.
