Are you copying the url line or the one that says img in blue before it? You can use the url one and put it [img] HERE [/img] remember no spaces after [img] or before [/img]

now.... after all that I'm not sure. I think arrowheads can come in different colors tho' cant they?

Is your Arrowhead anything like this? If it is, it is in the Syngonium family. Mine is a Syngonium Nephthytis, the white-veined cultivar.

The pictures I posted are Cherry's Rosie. img wasnt cooperating for her.

I know...hopefully she'll come back to this thread and check the picture and do some Google searching.

i thought it was an arrowhead plant but it does not look any thing like rosie's picture it is very dark green.

I have an arrowhead similar to what you are describing. The only pic I have is of the poor plant after a 10 hour road trip, so it's wilted and doesn't look too good. But before I dug it up it was solid green like you are describing, not like Rosie's coloring. I'll post my pic so you can see.



You can see it there in the middle. Poor thing...

I posted the picture of mine so a comparison could be made to the leaf shape, not the color, and to provide the name Syngonium to assist the poster in her search. There many types of Syngonium so a Google Images search might turn up one like cherry blossoms.

Your plant looks like Syngonium Allusion, not sure which one, there are a few.

I have a question about syngoniums,... am I correct in understanding that syngoniums and caladiums can look similar, one difference is that syngoniums vine and caladiums are bulbs?

I have caladiums that look EXACTLY like Rosie's syngonium in this post, and I love their coloring, but they don't look quite as nice as Rosie's do. Mine are more sparse looking. But I got that cutting of the syngonium in the picture I posted in this thread from my Meme and it was a vine. (BTW,....IT MADE IT!!! It's fully green, standing up straight, and is starting to grow taller and larger, and is starting to vine! I'll have to try and get out this weekend and snap a shot of it.)

But, about the two kinds of plants,...am I correct about the bulb vs. vine?

Cajun, yes, you are correct...the Syngoniums do vine as opposed to the straight up growth of Caladiums. The picture I posted was from last year, prior to bringing the container in for the winter. I am ashamed to admit I neglected it for the most part and lost all of the foliage. The stems were dried up...the whole mess looked totally dead.

In July, I decided to toss the whole mess but needed to cut it all back to get it outside. When I started cutting stems just above the soil, I was seeing green...sooooooooo...I just cleaned it up, gave it a snort of diluted fertilizer and moved it outside in the shade on the patio. I've kept an eye on it and see a few new leaves so it may pull through after all. I keep saying "it" but there are actually 3 plants in that pot. I plan to keep it in a better location for easier care this winter and give it lots of TLC.

I'm glad they seem to be "coming back". The pic was a nice shot of it, I like the green and white colors. Thanks for the info.
