Just gonna post a few pics of my pond in winter.... is a real cold snap here and in two days time my pond froze over this far....

Wow....might have to unplug the pump if it gets any colder!.......anybody else got frigid pics? smile Heres another shot from a different angle...

Look at the possum and/or racoon tracks on the lower right of the second picture... they been out on the ice! Brrrr! Cant wait till spring! Stay Warm!

wow! thats a great pic of your pond! it looks like a pretty big pond, how big is it?

Just love it! I remember seeing the pics of when you were digging it out(pretty sure it was the same pond--and your pond). laugh nutz laugh

How deep is your deepest spot? Deep enough for the fish to overwinter in there?

It is right at 4 feet deep at the deepest point! All my fish are still alive I believe. I see them every now and then when the sun shines good in the pond! Heck, even my small pond that is only 2 feet deep sustains fish in the winter when completely frozen over. As long as you keep a small hole open through the ice to let toxic gases escape, they will survive. Here is a picture of my small pond frozen over! There are five goldfish in this pond, all about 6 inches long! [Linked Image]

The pond looks amazing. I agree, I do not think we have seen pics since it was finished but all iced over like that is so cool to see!!!

no ice please frown but it is pretty!!!! i agree, your pond looks as big as a swimmimg pool!

i would love to have a pond that big, but, because of living "in the forest", as i likd to say, it is either several small ponds and lots of flowers or one large pond with a few flowers. i had to go with the first choice!
