I recieved a package of unknown seeds in July and immediately planted them. Less than half the seeds I planted germinated, and it took (I'd guess) 2-3 weeks for the seeds to pop up. Here is a pic of what I've got. Can anyone identify it?

The stem is reddish but the leaves are a solid green. The leaves are also oval, smooth, and slightly toothed along the edge. The seeds I planted were less than a 1/4 inch long, tannish-brown, and spiked (like a coneflower or daisy seed). I looked, and I think the love-lies-bleeding seeds are round. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sarah, maybe after your seedlings put on a couple of more sets of leaves, someone will be able to help you ID them. So many seedlings look alike that I would be afraid to guess at this early stage. wink I nutured an entire bed this summer with seedlings like that...they turned out to be stinkin' ol' Pigweed. laugh

LOL! Not all Amaranthus are the common Pigweed. There are many ornamental Amaranthus, but when I look at this small seedling Lambsquarter comes to mind.
