I was looking over my one flower bed, checking out my columbine for seeds (another post for another thread), and looking down at my pansies next to them, and noticed an icky vine weed. It's either bindweed or morning glory vines that run rampant thru my yard. So, I start pulling it up, and I get to one piece, that is different. I pull it up and this is NOT the same stuff I was just pulling, this was a different thing altogether. Anyone got any ideas what this is??

Wow, that does look a lot like it. Lucky me? I don't know about that.. I only saw one piece, and I yanked it up. It was in my little row of pansies up against the house. After doing a little reading, these things can get up to 20'! I don't think I want something that big *right in front* of my house..lol.

Of course it was in the wrong spot, but I think it was a nice gift from nature. If you see more, put it somewhere else. There are alot of things folks consider "invasive" that are actually lovely plants. They just need a little coaxing to behave. Try potting anything that you like but are wary of letting loose. Then pinch out the flowers before they go to seed. Or trim them before they get too long.
