I bought a little package of "Pinks" today because I have a month-by-month gardening book that said they would be a good fit to start indoors this month for my zone... but when I looked a bit closer, the package says 365 days to bloom! Does that really mean they won't bloom this year??
According to the book, they will.
Hmmmmm

Anyone ever start these indoors? I'm in zone 5- right smack between 5a and 5b.

Thanks,
'Manda

There are 2 different '"pinks", one is a perennial that usually takes a year to bloom(which is apparently the one you got) and the other is an annual. You'll want to look for the annual type if you want blooms this year. The annual ones can often act like like short lived perennials, too. 'Parfait Strawberry' is one type of annual "pink" also known as dianthus.
