It looks almost like a new long-needled pine with tiny, tiny tiny yellow flowers growing at the tips. the flowers only open up in the morning, it was growing in sandy soil on a construction job site. like i said it looks like a clump of long pine needles. about 8" tall. hubby just loves to bring me some unusal things home

Sounds like eupatorium capillifolium 'dog fennel', but that has white flowers.
