i was walking through the wildy near my church and when i got to this shrine mabye.. 100 yards off. on two sides of the mound there is a incline and decline like a upside down V. I was walking on the side facing out, and i looked down and saw aRED ALOE VERA PLANT< it was exactly like a aloe vera plant, i know cause i have one. so i look to both sides and theres 15-25 of them. i researched them for an hour and a half and couldn't find it. is it a new species?
can you tell me what it is?

ill be here till 6:00, then im going camping. i'll take a pict of the plant then and post it here on sunday.

Well some aloe's does turn red when exposed to full sun...Can't wait to see a picture of it!!!!!

There are lot of red aloes I ordered one last week it looks exactly like aloe vera only red.

it is called ALOE CAMERONII

IS A DEEP CINNAMON COLORED SUCCULENT, WITH BEAUTIFUL UNDULATING RECURVED LEAVES.....SOMEWHAT LIKE A FOUNTAIN SHAPE. WILL OFFSET AND BECOME A GROUP. NATIVE TO MALAWI, MOZAMBIQUE, ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE.

To answer your question yes Aloe Vera is very good for burns. But....It has to be the Aloe Vera plant.

Aloë, is a genus containing about four hundred species of flowering succulent plants.

The picture shown in this post is a Aloe but not a Aloe Vera. It is a different Aloe.

It is like saying you saw a Polar bear but it is a Black Bear not a Polar Bear. But it is a Bear. LOL
