They have been in their sunny location over 10 years.

Peonies should only be transplanted or divided when it becomes absolutely necessary. An established and productive plant may not need dividing for ten to fifteen years or longer.

Peony is one plant that I don't mess with success. I'll cut off a little on the sides or back for extra plants but that is about it.

The last time I tried to even move a peony it didn't flower for 3 years after, so I leave them alone now.

it takes em about 3 years to "settle" i just planted pink peonies last year and dont expect them to flower for another few years so i just plant annuals around em for now,

We've had such warm weather that I wonder if peonies will do well this year. Don't they need cold weather to do well?
