I picked this up from the nursery just a little while ago... not sure if it is a haworthia or an aloe...

It was like that when I bought it, and it was very over-watered...
I re-planted it as soon as I got home:

For some reason, it doesn't look like an aloe to me...then again it could just be me

i have something that looks similar - mine doesn't have such a spread-out growth pattern, tho.

from the markings, i'd say it's a haworthia...when i was googling to try to identify what i'd gotten, a lot of the haworthia had those markings.

Haworthia .....

I have some of those.....I grow them with my cactus collection......They like dry just like the cactus...........
yep .. but mine didnt grow tall at all ..Short and chunky'.

there are many different types of haworthia...some are tall and others are stumpy/short. same for aloe, too.
