OP lauradena Junior Member L Joined: Jan 2007 Batesville, MS	My philodendron grows well on my deck in summer, but in winter when I bring it inside, it puts out new leaves but large leaves brown and die just as quickly. I have tried changing my watering amounts and times but it doesn't seem to work.

margaret e. pell Member M Joined: Jan 2005 Rhinebeck, NY USA	What kind of Philo? Mostly they don't need to go out in the summer. Unlike some plants, Philo's come from places without drastic seasonal changes. Keeping them inside (wash off the leaves occasionally) all year is better. Do whatever it likes best all year round.
