we have this vine that we thought was a honeysuckle vine, :rolleyes: since we had a honeysuckle there before, but now it has started dying down and when i started cutting the dead stuff down from the trellis i found these green, small banana shaped, wavey

Well, I can't see the picture, but I can tell you that honeysuckle is in the genus lonicera and it has hollow stems, so see if the stems are hollow, if so - it is definately in the honeysuckle family.
