Black Spanish (black ones)
Minowase (long white ones on right)

Patty, a friend of mine who lives in Montana says that leaving her carrots in the ground during the winter makes them sweeter and better than pulling them up in summer. She pulls up what she needs from under the snow.
What a fun idea-using the ground as a fridge !

Yup, that's the way we did it (in Montana) when I was a kid. It works great, if there is plenty of mulch on top to keep the ground from freezing where you'll need to dig. thumbup

I can't help but notice the bottle of Hofbrau Original.

Oh yes the Hofbrau Hous in Munich, most famous Beerhall in the world.

Where a beer is served in Liter Mugs!!!

I use to travel there on weekends while I was stationed in Germany. Great place!
There is a lot of history behind that building.

Long benches and tables, great folk music to party and drink to! Prost!!!!!

My Hofbrau shirts are long since gone but I do still have one of those liter mugs around here somewhere.

I'll post it when I come across it.

(I need to find it anyhow.....I have recently received some of those beers and they should only be drank out of the 'proper' mug!)

I really liked the Ompapa band they had, and the barmaids serving up 6 liters of beer at a time.

I used to have one of those mugs with the holes in the side, but I lost it somewhere.

I could probably harvest some carrots if the ground was not frozen solid.
