Also found this on my walk... I had seen a small one before in a vacant lot and it has been mowed down, so I can't find it yesterday, but this is the same thing only HUGE!

definitely a palm. don't know which one (there are SO many!) very pretty!! hopefully someone will know what it is...and then i'll be able to see if it's hardy in my area...
