I got a quick, correct response last time (thanks zuzu's), so here are a few more I'd like to identify.

#1 (the long, thin, thorny leaves and the colorful stalk growing from the middle, shown at top-left)

I can tell you that the first plant is a Bromeliad.

The second plant is an Ixora.

#s 3 and 5 are both tropical Hibiscus.

The other 2 . . . Duh I can't tell you right off hand,
Someone else may recognize them.

Hmmm, I think #4 has been ringing a bell for me ( nutz )
I think it is Hamelia patens, "Firecracker Bush" is the common name that I remember.

shocked I'm still not getting #6 tho.
