This was growing in the yard, all over the back area apparently and after Dan mowed it over he showed it to me. I am pretty sure it is tomatillo and if it is, I am going to go and try to rescue some. We have never planted them so they must have come up from seed from a previous garden or something.

Triss they sure look like Tomatillo. Did you husk one see if they inside fruit looks and smeel like a Tomatillo? Looks like a bunch I have in Ice Box now left over from my Salsa I made today with Chili De Arbole.

I agree with JV. It looks like my tomatillos. They are very prolific, and I've probably seen hundreds of seedlings sprouting from where fruit had dropped from the previous years plants.

Thanks. I am quite excited about them. The fruit is just starting to form. Looking forward to a good harvest later. I am sure Mom would send recipes for good salsa and other things with them since she used to grow them. She said I was lucky to get em growing wild like this.
