I planted several of the yellow G. puchella last year. They have reseeded and the mother
plants are still alive, too...probably because our winter has been warm so far. They tend to be annual in colder climates. I recently found
seeds of the one called 'Sundance' which is bicolored. They are supposed to be easy to start from
seed. I also have 2 of the burgandy ones, and they have also reseeded. I thought some of my 'Fanfare' gaillardias were dead because they were nothing but sticks, but I recently noticed some new leaves
growing at the base of all but one.
