While selling cookies for Summer's troop I spotted several pots of this plant. I asked the lady about it and she very graciously gave me several pieces. She did not know what it was, but I think it is a type of hens and chicks. I have not seen one like it, but it definitely looks like it. What do y'all think??

It has a bloom forming also- that is the little "bunch on the plant. I did see that it also roots from leaves- do all hens and chicks do that?

Thanks all!!

That would be my guess, Tonya! Aunt Bonnie has some and that is what she calls it...

That stuff spreads like wildfire, too!

I am sure Margaret Pell or someone else will come along and give you the type that it is...

I did a GH search for sempervivum(Hens and Chicks) and found a post about a succulent wreath and that lead me to Google echeveria. My new plant is an Echeveria laui! Man, I LOVE this place!! Here is the link....

Now if I can figure out the common name for it- I will be all set!
