this plant was so enjoyed by the butterflies.

it's petals reminded me of another plant, but i can't think of which one it was. none of the blooms were facing up, so i couldn't see what they looked like inside, and i couldn't get a good pic of them. if i get back down there while there are still blooms, i'll try again.

I'd say Malvaviscus penduliflorus, a pendulous form of "Turk's Cap Hibiscus".
