it's prolly mid winter here in AL and my aloe vera plant is turning black on the ends of the leaves? nutz where everyone has used it for a med it is planted in the ground outback, i guess my question is, is there any hope for it or am i gonna have to buy another one come summertime?????

Aloe DO NOT like cold.....I would suggest moving it to a pot and bring indoors. Give as much direct sunlight as possible and very litle water. I don't know how cold it has been there, but cold and wet equals disaster to an aloe...trust me- I found this out quite by accident as I almost killed mine last year! shocked

Margaret e pell or Comfrey( I know there is someone else I am forgetting, but.....) know more than I do, but from my understanding:
Fast draining soil + lots of sun + small amounts of water = a happy aloe!

it has gotten below that here while the aloe has been outside so is it dead or if i bring it in asap will it make it?????

If most of it is still green then it should make it if you bring it indoors. You may need to cut off all the black areas though.
