I want to clooect seeds from these, the dried cones are really a pain and the small needles really hurt. I haven't been able to collect seeds, could someone tell me what this is and how to collect seds?

It's a Gaillardia...don't know which kind. If you'll wait until the seed heads get very dry and fuzzy, cut the entire stem and hang them upside down in a paper sack, the seeds will fall out by themselves and save wear and tear on your fingers. wink
