I don't think that is it ,I read what it said on ur Link but it said it was a slow growing plant mine grow's real fast and has purple color on the in side

it looks like a variety of trandescatia. i have one, that is so far "unnamed" that is different than the other ones i've had.

i have several of the others too. particularly trandescantia zebrina and t. spathaca.

Yes, I have the same impression as Jiffymouse,
a Tradescantia of some sort, I think.

Yes it is in the Tradescantia family it is a Callisia fragrans.

I have had mine for 20 years. It is a very fast grower. I have read that it blooms small white fragrant flowers. Mine has never bloomed. It is a good plant.
