Help! I have a huge Boston Fern in my atrium at the office. This is my first time to try to tend to a Boston Fern. It grows flush with the floor and is near a window. How much water do they take? Why are the ends of the fronds turning brown? Anything you can tell me would be helpful.

Boston ferns like moderate light, regular watering and frequent misting. They also benefit from a bi weekly application of a liquid fertilizer like Miracle Gro or Peters. Choose a fertilizer higher in nitrogen (the first number in the ratio) to stimulate new growth)

The brown tips are usually from underwatering. The soil should be kept evenly moist, not soggy, but never let it dry completely out. Best of luck with your new baby. smile
