Hello anyone,

So my question is does anyone have an opinion on whether to buy a soil analyzer that you stick in the ground or a test kit, where you and soil to little vials. Anyone have pros or cons for both?

Thanks,
Clay man

My preference is for a test kit. They are simple to use and last a long time. No electronics, no batteries, no problems with rust from moisture or damage from getting stood on. I have found it's worthwhile getting a waterproof container to store it in, including the colour chart and instructions.
I have heard the probes can be inaccurate and i just know that everytime i went to use one the battery would require replacement.

Thanks for your response. That sounds reasonable to me. I'll buy a test kit. Do you have any suggestions for the type of test kit?

Many thanks,
Clay man
