Has anyone ever had any experience with Northern Star or Emerald artichokes? They are supposed to be more cold-hardy than other varieties and bred to overwinter in more northern locations(zero and below).

I purchased the seeds online and started them today. I can't seem to find out much information about these 2 certain types except from the website that sells them.

Thank you, I've seen those articles before. I can find all kinds of information about artichokes in general. I was wanting to know if anyone on the forum had ever tried growing the Northern Star or Emerald varieties.

I found the seeds at Peters seed and Research. They suggest you plant them as a "trial". I guess this will be another experiment for me this year. lol
