This 'weed' grows in the same spot in my back yard every year. The bloom is yellow, daisy-like. The bloom doesn't open very often but maybe that's because I don't take care of it like a plant I'm actually trying to grow.

I know it's a bit hard to make it out in the pic because of all the background grass but maybe someone will recognize it.

Yup, Weezie, I think you're right - it looks like Yellow Goat's-beard/Tragopogon dubius. I especially recognized that seed head - I actually saved it because I thought I might try to grow these in my garden. Is that a bad idea??? Duh

Yeah, it's pretty, but
has seeds like a dandelion..
so, when the wind blows,
so do they all over your yard....

If you had one flower, it wouldn't be bad.

I personally love yellow flowers, and I let them grow and the kids blow them around, and I'm alright with it...
but I'm a weed person...I love my weeds!!! wink laugh
Some people aren't... frown :p
personal preference....
