These were sent to me last year...right as I was moving my stuff to Rachel's.
I planted them in this pot temporarily, and they got lost in the shuffle.
The other day I was out pulling weeds and found this pot...
...with the plants thriving in it! grinnnn

I was calling them "succulents"... but I don't think I was off by much.

laugh Lynne! You're so clever!

OK, so when I saw Cindy's plants, I grabbed my camera & went outside before it got dark, cuz I think I have the same thing (Heuchera) as she does... only I had forgotten what my friend called it, when she gave it to me. shocked (& was afraid to ask her!)

[Linked Image]
Same thing, right?

I don't know that the name "Bronze Heuchera (Coral Bells)" rings a bell.
Aren't there different kinds of Heuchera?
Does Bronze Heuchera have Bronze colored flowers? Duh
...Ummm, "Coral Bells" tells me they might be coral colored...
so, never mind! [Linked Image]

(I AM taking notes this time!) grinnnn I DO have my moments!)</i>

Yep Patti yours is a heuchera too. There are all different kinds of them. Afgrey's is probably Heuchera micrantha Palace Purple.

Thanks Wrennie. I think I'm going to like these flowers! Look at the different colors of the leaves on these 3 plants. [Linked Image] Is that because mine & Cindy's are younger?

Well Cindy why were you ashamed to ask? I don't bite and I won't yell at you. laugh grinnnn
Then yours is definatley Palace Purple and the sedum is sedum spurium.

Wrennie~ Your coralbells looks like heuchera Bressingham hybrid.

Patti~ You coralbells and Afgrey's are 2 different kinds. When yours blooms post another picture and I might be able to tell you which it is. Also get a closer picture of a leaf.
Different heuchera\'s

I just hate that I can't remember plant names. nutz
They just won't stick in my head for some reason.

I keep meaning to keep a log of my plants...my mom even bought me a real nice book for that purpose.
It's still empty...like my head. laugh

I have been looking for something to cover the soil in my rose pots.the sedum looks nice! will it not get ruined if it is in the full sun on the southeast end of the house? the sun usually is done on that side of the house by maybe 3-4 o'clock, and lets face it, I am on the coast of Oregon so if its not raining( most of the time), its foggy(til about noon most foggy days).

and will the sedum creep down the sides of the pot when it grows ????

Mrs.Bradley~ I would go with sedum sarmentosum if you want a creeping down and groung cover effect. I put it in pots in full sun and shade and it doesn't seem to bother it either way. It is draught tolerant and doesn't care about poor soil but that also means it can be invasive.
