This was a pot of soil I left on the deck, with nothing in it. This thing grew up from nowhere.. what is it?

Cool, thanks again rugby! I do like the look of it.. I've seen it growing around my house/ditch before, but it always gets whacked down. Apparently, it can be a problematic weed, especially if you let it flower & send it's seeds out. I'll let it stay in the pot, as I think it looks neat, but will be careful when it gets to the flower stage (if it will flower in the pot) and remove them before they go to seed.
